Store/Sales Manager - Computer Retail - Fulltime

STORE/SALES MANAGER - FULL-TIME

Lioncom is seeking a motivated individual with a proven track record of success to serve as Retail Sales Manager. Under general guidance of the Directors, and with latitude for considerable judgment and initiative, the successful candidate will be accountable for managing daily operations of our Computing Store, a multi-million $ operation. In addition to Store activities, the Manager will be an active participant in the Services Management team. 

The successful candidate will need to have strong product knowledge, collaboration building and communication skills and marketing experience. The Manager supervises store staff, ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of Store operations and manages customer and vendor relationships in alignment with the company’s mission. The Manager will be responsible for assisting the professional development of staff.
 
Specific Responsibilities/Duties
 
TECHNOLOGY

  • Researches computer related products; analyzes technology market trends and forecasts. Uses information gathered to position store for success.
  • Develops and maintains strategy for successful Store service delivery.
  • Develops multi-year strategies and plans for the store.
  • Consults with customers and recommends hardware configurations and software packages based on customer's needs and requirements;
  • Leads efforts to maintain effective customer relations. 


RETAIL OPERATIONS/FINANCIAL

  • Assesses Lioncom needs and projects sales; leads efforts to determine goods to be sold and to order goods.
  • Assures quality of service delivery through expectations, oversight, and management controls. 
  • Ensures that accurate records are maintained to include sales data, purchase orders, invoices and inventories; prepares operational reports and analyses
  • Leads Store promotions within established Company guidelines. 
  • Develops and monitors the Computer Retail Store budget; implements action plans as needed to address budget variances.
  • Establishes and/or maintains vendor relationships to allow the Company to receive the best value within appropriate guidelines. 
  • Represents the on retail national groups and consortiums.
  • Coordinates services and agreements for technology equipment repair.
  • Coordinates technology service offerings with Company’s team.


 
GENERAL MANAGEMENT
  • Manages Store personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, training, and daily supervision of staff. 
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to Computer Store operations.
  • Contributes to a world-class Information Technology organization, assisting in continuous process improvement initiatives and refinement of service offerings.
  • Other duties as required.
     

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to set financial targets, monitor performance against goals, gather and report on metrics
  • Demonstrated strong management and communication skills, including proven contract negotiations, budget development, cost control, and quality assurance skills
  • Demonstrated team player with ability to align with organisation-wide goals and maintain strong collaborative team environment
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and aggressively seek the generation of new ideas to improve operations
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines across varying duties and priorities
  • Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of a customer base with diverse needs
  • Ability to thrive in environment of change

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree required. Business, Marketing or computer science strongly preferred. 
  • Five years of retail sales supervisory experience required with at least 3 years of significant financial accountability.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

SALES ASSISTANTS - PART-TIME

Lioncom is seeking a motivated individuals to fill Sales Assistant positions. The successful candidates will need to have good to strong computer product knowledge. The successful candidates will consult with customers and recommend hardware configurations and software packages based on customer's needs and requirements; Process sales orders, provide quotes, maintain showroom, answer phones and other related duties as directed by your manager from time to time. Public transport available.
